Project FAIL: T-shirt scarf

I kept finding these little holes right near the waist of my shirts.  I couldn't figure it out!  My best friend finally told me I was probably zipping my shirts up when I zipped my pants.  D'oh!

So now that I fixed that problem, I'm left with a number of garments with holes in them, like this shirt.

It reminds me of those blue raspberry candy sticks.  Yum!

But that stupid hole wasn't so sweet.

I thought I'd save the day and make it into a fun infinity scarf.  Just cut off the sleeves and top, and it would be wearable again!

Yeah, it looks like a t-shirt bunched around your neck.

But what if it were skinnier?

Yeah, still looks dumb.

Project fail.

  1. I have a sweater I want to try to do that to, let us know if anyone knows how to fix it?

  2. I have been "researching" why these stupid holes appear in my clothing... I do not smoke, wear no belts... Is it just that pulling on the fabric when you put the shirt on, causes them? I have had them appear on a shoulder, an armpit and on my back! The holes appear on cheap and expensive shirts alike. I have checked my waching machine, but it is brandnew and clean! (and I had the same problem with the old machine too) Who can solve the mystery?
    Is it me? LOL!

  3. Oh, I really like you scrave, couldn't you sew another fabric on it, to continue the stripy effect? Or cut up the other halve and turn the stripes around (horizontal becomes vertical) and add those to the rest?
